18Oct Annual General Meeting of the ACP is on 29 October

We wish to remind members of the ACP that the AGM of our association takes place in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on Tuesday, Oct. 29th at 2.00pm. This event marks three years of the ACP, and is an important time for taking stock, and planning for the future.

Among the items on the agenda are the following:

1.  A review of the main developments of the three years, and a discussion of where we need to go from here. There will be two short presentations and time for contributions from the floor.

2.  Some of the current leadership will be standing down, and it is hoped that two or three new people will join the leadership team.

3.  Some time ago ACP commissioned a study of the Murphy Report on the Archdiocese of Dublin, which is now completed.
This document, a study of the Murphy Report and the underlying legislation, done by a senior legal person, will be presented at the meeting.
A book by Pádraig McCarthy, entitled Unheard Story: Dublin Archdiocese and the Murphy Report, will also be presented at the meeting.
This topic will be of interest to all priests, but particularly to the priests of the Archdiocese of Dublin.

We hope to conclude the meeting by 5.30pm at the latest.

Please come if you can at all

The ACP is doing a fine job and providing a terrific forum for all of us to hear and to share a broad set of views, insights etc. Keep up the great work and may Tuesday’s meeting be inspirational and life giving for all.
